【Abstract】 Objective To study the treatment effect of miniplate and screw on metacarpal and phalangeal fractures.Methods 122fractures in96patients with metacarpal and phalangeal fractures were treated by using miniˉplate and screw after open reduction.Active motion was begun in1week postoperatively.Results All cases were folˉlowed up in an average of6.4weeks.The average clinical union times were6.5weeks.No complications such as disˉplacement and malunion of fractures,instability of fixation and infection occured.Evaluated by the TAM system,thehealing excellent rate was87.7%.Conclusion Miniplate and screw have reliable and valid fixation and less compliˉcations for metacarpal and phalangeal fractures.Active motion of joints could be begun earlier postoperatively.Study showed that miniplate and screw were effective methods for metacarpal and phalangeal fractures.
